Blockbuster Total Access is Blockbuster’s answer to Netflix and their home DVD rental program. Blockbuster has some enticing deals right now and are offering new subscribers $9.99 for the first month. Total Access will then send you 3 DVDs which, you can send back immediately after watching and receive another 3 DVDs. You could potentially rent out 15 movies or more within the first month alone — all for less than the price of a night out at the movies (for one person).
I’ve had over 170 pictures mailed to me from Blockbuster Online and only had issues with two. When I reported issues with the two, I was instantly e-mailed vouchers to help in making up for inconvenience, and I was able to trade the defective films back in at the Blockbuster store for more free flicks while waiting for replacements for the defective titles to be mailed.
Purchaser service has been nice and curtoeous the few times I’ve had to contact them. I’ve had no billing or queue mistakes and essentially, it has been an excellent EXPERIENCE. I am living in Jacksonville, Florida and they’ve a warehouse in Daytona so I generally get my flicks LITERALLY in one business day. Plus, with the Total Access program, there are occasions when I have six pictures at a time to observe, and a free monthly voucher to use up. As for Blockbuster’s title library, I can just think about two flicks that I desire that they don’t have – one being the Superman 2 – Richard Donner version. It’s not that I am sure why they do not have that, but they appear to have the rest.
Still pleased with Blockbuster Online, overall quick turnaround time. My only grumbles are that they don’t ship on weekends, and they don’t tell you when they have increased your monthly rate.
Blockbuster is in total violation of its shopper service agreement. They don’t want to measure up to their side of the contract. Blockbuster feels that the quantity of beefs they’re going to receive are worth the bucks they save on not shipping as they are required to do. This is, plain and straightforward, bad business! Beefs will start to roll in to the BBB, state solicitor generals and the Fed. Trade Commission for fake advertising and fooling the general public. And since this is an “Internet Crime” about a hundred grouses to the Net Crime Complaint Center ( a partnership of the FBI and the nation’s upper class crime Center ( NW3C ) would be in order. One or more of these agencies is making Blockbuster comply and / or compensate their members. Apart from caution new members and filing beefs, the final challenge is to alert Blockbuster investors of their coming destiny. Blockbuster stock has been losing worth over the year … From $7.18 per share to it’s current cost of $3.18.
When the grumbles start to extract their toll, when the govt agencies step in, Blockbuster is likely to lose Massive . Blockbuster recently revealed it will close more stores. They cannot win the war with Netflix. Blockbuster just doesn’t have an identical quantity of films, less quantities of what they do have …. And they are very deceitful. Stockholders” when you work out what is going on on fire these folks who made these current calls.
Send them packing and you might save Blockbuster ( for the moment ). The investors are the true owners of Blockbuster … Make sure they knows what is going on on.
I am blown away by all of the negative reviews for Blockbuster. I’ve had them for approximately 3 years now. I have the three out at a time, unlimited in store exchanges, and two vouchers to hire games or flicks a month. All for 17.99, the initial price I joined up for.
They have not raised my rates, implemented the in store exchanges which I adore, and have continued to permit me to lease two games a month with my coupons. I believe the present rate for this according to their site is 34.99, which I concur is a bit too much. If I return three films on Mon. to the store, I am getting three in store rentals, then I receive the three in the post by the following day, Wed. at the most recent, I typically take those back to the store on Thu. , and do a similar thing. When I am not busy and have time to observe movies, I could rent up to twelve a week this way. And , for new releases, if I have them at the pinnacle of my queue, I will be able to either receive them the Tues. they get released, or the day after.
The sole complaint I have for them, is that there are some obscure dvd’s that have been in my queue for many months, but I understand that there’s no reason for them to have one thousand copies for a poker instructional dvd.
My rate had been increased without any notification. I called Blockbuster Online and was told that they could raise my rate whenever they wanted and they failed to need to reach me through e-mail or telephone call to tell me of the rise. As people have stated this can make your account bounce checks. This is nothing less than a bait and switch deal. I am going to be picketing a couple of their stores this month during prime time. Companies treat folk like this if you let them.
