    Discover was one of the 1st cards I got, and it is still my card of choice. Since almost all of my Credit card purchases are online, I needed a card that would let me view the small print of my transactions, both past and present. They also offer the chance to pay online, but I am still not that trusting of the web to choose that option. Whenever I’ve had a question per my statement, I have found their purchaser service to be totally the best, and rather than having to battle my way thru a maze of automated messages, I have basically been able to talk to a “real” person extremely fast.

    The Cashback Bonus Award is a motivation, but it actually hasn’t added up to much. Still, it is a nice option ( though not the reason why I like to use the card ). At this time Discover Card is making a contribution to America’s relief efforts ( Sept eleven ) by making a contribution ( till they reach their target of $5 million ) each time Discover Card is employed.

    This, to me, is more critical than the Cashback Bonus or most other promotional offers. Thanks to the capability to maintain a tally of my statements and the fantastic purchaser service, Discover Card will remain my card of choice.

    I called Discover because I needed to transfer a balance from my other card. But my line of credit was lower than I required for that transfer. So I asked them to increase my limit. ( though my other cards have even higher limit ).

    They informed me that since I have regular Discover card and not Platinum I will not have a line of credit over $5,000. They asked me if I needed to sign up for a Platinum and I concluded. In few days I called them back to ask if I was given approval for Platinum.

    With that under consideration I moved the balance to my other card that had a higher rate. The following statement I am getting from Discover I see that they increased my limit to 8 grand. Customer Suport folks do not know what they are talking about.

    Discover was fine till I needed to cancel the account. They shut off the card and sent me a letter telling me the for “my convenience”, if I selected to use my card again, they’d institute a credit check and re-open my account.

    Well, it seems that somebody fraudently used my account for something and I got a pleasant letter from Discover thanking me for rethinking my call to cancel the account. I got a new card in the post some days later, welcoming me to Discover card and exclaiming they expect a long relationship with me. I called them back and ordered them to cancel my account but they announced it wasn’t possible because I had open charges outstanding on the account ( fake charges mind you. They connected me to the crime center and took my information.

    After much effort, I was able to block the charge and get my account closed. I had to make another telephone call to Discover to inform them I didn’t would like them to basically open a new account when they closed the old one for crime.

    I had a discover card for four years and only two of them were good. For the 1st 2 years I did not get any marketing calls or any suspicious costs.

    I did not actually have an issue with my payments posting to the account.

    Then all of a sudden I got a telephone call about a Profile Protection Plan. They sent me a packet to read and if I was interested I had to sign it and send it back. Well, I was not interested so I shredded it and forgot about it. When I got billed for it I called the customer service rep. He announced that by not sending the papers back I was saying that I was interested. That wasn’t the sole fee on my statement. I have subscriptions to three mags. You might think this has zilch to do with the Discover Card, but it does.

    They replenished my subscription ( $180.00 ) without asking me first. I ordered those mags with a different Visa card I had at the time ( which I don’t have ). Why would Discover replenish the subscription for me? I’m not sure, I was hoping somebody could let me know since the customer service rep could not.

    I have been a Discover card member for most many years. I have always been satisfied with their visa cards and now, with the money back, I am even happier. That tiny additional is a pleasant bonus.

    What I actually love about Discover card is the protection I receive. Luckily, I’ve only had one exchange that I wished to cancel. I received a faulty product and when the merchant would not refund my cash, I approached Discover card.

    Discover had the issue resolved within just a few hours. They got the refund and I feel totally confident in their abilities to protect me as a patron. Briefly I like my Discover card, I adore the money back feature, and I like the protection I receive when I use this card.

    I have not been using my card much recently, and afterwards neglected to schedule a payment. I was so cheerful today when I logged into my email account and found a friendly reminder from Discover that I haven’t prepared a payment yet.

    This helped save me a pricey late charge and a bad mark on my credit and my account with you. Only one more reason why I love having a Discover Card! Thanks and keep it up!!

    I’ve carried a Discover card for 16 years. I was a BIG fan when Discover first came out with the cash back program, but over the last few years the card has fallen out of favor. A flat 1% back was diluted to 1% after the first $3000 in purchases each year.

    Discover’s 5% special programs are decent, but they rotate quarterly and limit the 5% to $400 in purchases. Too many other cards offer better cash back rewards, so I seldom use Discover any more.

    Discover’s five pc special programs are decent, but they revolve quarterly and limit the five percent to $400 in purchases. Too many other cards offer better money back rewards, so I infrequently use Discover any more.

    My hubby and I’ve had our Discover account for over seven years, and use it continually.

    It’s best to pay this card off each month. But be cautious, one time we were off by one cent when we paid the bill, and the following bill charged us mega-interest.

    They exclaimed if you always pay off your balance and miss one month, they will go by 2 months purchases to charge you interest.

    However, client service was really nice and corrected the situation for me when I stopped at all that interest for only being one penny late.
